OLG family welcomes Father Kowalski to Greensboro parish
GREENSBORO — Father Eric Kowalski was installed as the 13th pastor at Our Lady of Grace in Greensboro on July 27 by Bishop Peter J. Jugis.
Father Christopher Davis, parochial vicar, and Deacons Tim Rohan and Jim Toner assisted at the Mass. Deacon Paul Teich was present in the sanctuary. Monsignor Joseph Showfety, former pastor of Our Lady of Grace Church, was also one of the concelebrants.
Music was provided by both the adult and youth choirs. The organist was Andrew O'Connor and the music was directed by Brian Marble, who also composed the musical setting of the Responsorial Psalm especially for the occasion.
The adult choir sang "Ave Verum Corpus" by William Byrd. The color guard from the Knights of Columbus provided honor guard for the Mass.
"Afterward, a wonderful reception was held in the school cafeteria. The music and the entire Mass was truly beautiful," Father Kowalski said.
