CHARLOTTE — The 11th annual Eucharistic Congress got underway Sept. 11 with a music concert by Adam Trufant and friends followed by Byzantine rite Vespers led by clergy with St. Basil Ukrainian Greek Catholic Mission in Charlotte.
Father Patrick Winslow of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Charlotte gave a talk on the Gospel of St. John, and then the faithful processed behind the Blessed Sacrament, carried by Deacon Cory Catron, from the Charlotte Convention Center to St. Peter Church on Tryon Street, where nocturnal Adoration continued until Saturday morning.
