On June 2, parents, students, faculty, parishioners and friends gathered to honor 28 members of the eighth-grade graduating class of Immaculate Heart of Mary School in High Point. Mass was celebrated along with a graduation ceremony at the church on Johnson Street. Fifteen students have been together since their first day of kindergarten in August 2002. The three students with the highest cumulative grade-point average in the class were Bryan Soltis, Tommy Boyers and Sarah Lucas. Lucas was named class valedictorian.
