CLEMMONS — Holy Family Parish recently recognized parishioner Doug Abbott with its third annual St. Teresa of Calcutta Award.
Recipients of the award, named after the servant for the poorest of the poor, are recognized for their love of the Church, for giving of their time and energy with selfless dedication, and for echoing Mother Teresa’s dedication to doing small things with great love.
Abbott, along with his wife Camile and their family joined Holy Family in 1988.
He has been a member of the church choir for more than 25 years. Week in and week out, he can be found singing in the choir and is always ready to lend his voice at a funeral or a wedding.
