MOORESVILLE — There were treasures galore at St. Therese Parish’s annual rummage sale.
More than 80 Ladies of St Therese Church teamed with families and friends, along with the Knights of Columbus, the Men of St Therese (MOST), teen volunteers, local law enforcement and traffic control, parish staff, and community volunteers to pull off the parish’s annual event.
The well-seasoned team received an overwhelming amount of merchandise, which was sorted, laundered (if needed), priced and displayed by volunteers for two weeks prior to the event that had participants waiting in line outside for the doors to open.
Treasure to be found inside included: furniture, jewelry, kitchen basics, home decor, collectibles and household items, books, holiday items, children’s clothes up to size 4T, games and toys plus clever and practical items.
This true spirit of giving, sharing and raising funds to help others was a remarkable event. The remaining items were taken by truck to five other charity organizations, including another local parish to help build their donation inventory for a yard sale the following week.
