051420 maryHUNTERSVILLE —Two students from St. Mark Catholic School crowned Mary May 13.

The second-graders Hannah Hoover and Johnathan Kelly-Bleiler, and their teachers, Lisa Yelanich and Stacy Desourmeaux, were able to come to the school to honor Mary with a floral crown.

They represented the rest of the school, who was unable to attend.

Hannah and Johnathan came dressed in their First Communion clothing. They are still waiting to receive the sacrament due to the COVID-19 restrictions that are in place.

Father Alfonso Gamez led the prayer service accompanied by seminarians Kevin Tran and Camilo Salas.

Principal Julie Thornley and Father John Putnam were also in attendance.
