CHARLOTTE — During Independence Day weekend, more than 40 faithful souls attended the Vigil of the Two Hearts Mass July 3 at St. Patrick Cathedral in Charlotte.
The First Friday Mass was offered by Father Ernest Nebangongnjoh, parochial vicar, followed by nocturnal Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
Deacon Carlos Medina assisted at Mass, and later led the attendees in a Holy Hour of Repara-tion.
The vigil is a monthly First Friday-First Saturday devotion organized by the Carolina Pro-Life Action Network (C-PLAN) to help offer penance for sins, pray for families and for an end to abortion, and for the conversion of the United States back to God.
