CHARLOTTE — Bishop Michael Martin, OFM Conv., has announced two pastor appointments in the Diocese of Charlotte:
Father Jason K. Barone was appointed pastor of the newly elevated Our Lady of the Mountains Parish in Highlands, effective Sept. 8. He had served the Catholic community there as parochial administrator since 2019.
Father Augustine O. Ogar, M.S.P., currently serving as parochial administrator of St. William Parish in Murphy and Immaculate Heart of Mary Mission in Hayesville, has been appointed pastor of the parish and mission effective Oct. 1.
