St. Ann students honor Hispanic Heritage Month praying a decade in Spanish

CHARLOTTE — Students at St. Ann School gathered in prayer for a living rosary Oct. 8, celebrating their Catholic faith and honoring Hispanic Heritage Month.
During the schoolwide assembly, students participated in the living rosary as the school choir filled the gathering with sacred music. In recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month, one decade of the Rosary was recited in Spanish.
The gathering offered students the opportunity to deepen their devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary while celebrating the diverse languages and cultures that make up the universal Catholic Church.
The Catholic News Herald had a little extra help capturing the special occasion. St. Ann student Charlie Weiss stepped in as our newest photography assistant, lending a hand behind the scenes as we documented the school's celebration of faith and community.
