St. Mark Church’s Alzheimer’s Respite Ministry guests and volunteers performed a Christmas handbell and chorus concert for their families, caregivers and staff of the Huntersville parish Dec. 18.
Music is an important therapy for people with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Many patients can recall memories and emotions as well as have enhanced mental capabilities after singing classic music and songs.
St. Philip the Apostle Church in Statesville held its second annual Christmas Pageant Dec. 17 in the church’s social hall. It was audience interactive and was comprised of children and adults of all ages.
