STEUBENVILLE, Ohio — In this Jubilee Year of St. Francis, seven parishioners from St. Elizabeth Parish in Boone spent part of their summer vacation at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio.
(From left) Rose and Craig Bridgeman, Julie and Tom Trueman, Greg and Cheryl Corallo, and Kay Borkowski attended the university’s Applied Biblical Studies conference July 29-31. The annual summer event featured speakers including renowned author Scott Hahn, who focused on deepening participants’ understanding of Scripture through the lens of the Catholic Church, prayer and the sacraments. The university has been hosting Catholic educational conferences since 1975.
