CHARLOTTE— Christy Cabaniss has been hired as the director of faith formation, effective Aug. 24, the Diocese of Charlotte’s Office of Catechetical & Faith Formation has announced.
Cabaniss brings more than 20 years of experience serving the Church through a variety of ministry and leadership roles, including 4th grade catechist, parish catechetical leader, pastoral associate and, most recently, director for missionary discipleship for the Diocese of Cleveland.
She holds a Certificate in Pastoral Ministry from Seton Hill University and a master’s degree from St. Mary’s Seminary in Baltimore. She is pursuing doctoral studies at Catholic
Theological Union in Chicago, continuing her commitment to lifelong learning and faith formation.
