collectionbasketsCHARLOTTE — The Diocese of Charlotte has announced the dates for nine special collections for 2026.

These annual collections fund vital ministries and help support our priests and religious who give generously of their lives in service to the Church.

 

The 2026 special collections and their dates are:

- JAN. 17-18: Nation Mission Collection to benefit the United States Mission Appeal (Black & Indian Missions) and Catholic Home Missions

- APRIL 4-5: Seminarian Education Collection

- MAY 16-17: International Collection to benefit Collection for the Holy Land, Collection for the Works of the Holy Father (Peter’s Pence), Church in Latin America, Church in Central and Eastern Europe, and Church in Africa

- AUG. 29-30: Catholic University of America and Belmont Abbey College

- SEPT. 19-20: Priests’ Retirement Benefits

- OCT. 17-18: World Mission Sunday (Propagation of the Faith)

- OCT. 31-NOV. 1: Catholic Relief Services

- NOV. 21-22: Catholic Campaign for Human Development and Catholic Communications Campaign

- DEC. 12-13: Religious Retirement
