When Good Shepherd was being expanded in 2002, some materials available from other churches were used, including Stations of the Cross from St. Benedict the Moor in Winston-Salem and pews from Holy Cross Church in Kernersville. The new altar was crafted from a fallen tree in a parishioner’s yard.

Church of the Epiphany’s May through October schedule is designed to serve the seasonal influx of tourists and half-time residents who escape the summer heat by moving to the mountains.
